Cohorts
When a funder and its grantees share Sustain.
A funder can cover its grantees.
$60 a grantee, a month
Added to the funder’s own plan. The grantee gets its whole Sustain, with every funder and every gift, not only the shared award, at no cost to it.
A grantee on a funder’s cohort pays less.
$125 a month
The full grantee plan, gifts included, when at least one of the grantee’s awards is shared with a funder on Sustain.
Covered for the award, then the grantee’s choice.
$60 a month, then $125 at the cohort rate
A funder can cover a grantee for one award period. When it ends, the grantee may stay on at the cohort rate.
- Whoever pays, the grantee’s Sustain belongs to the grantee.
- Covering a grantee never shows a funder more: it sees the award it made and what the grantee chooses to share.
- The same permissions on every plan.

30% off the first 12 months
On a 12-month term, for one founding grantee and one founding funder. The standard rate is shown beside it and applies from month 13.

Questions
What people ask first.
What counts as an active award?
An award your organization made that is offered or under way. Closed and declined awards do not count, and neither do awards you hold as a grantee. If you pass your plan’s limit, nothing stops working: Sustain shows a note, and we talk about the next plan.
If a funder stops covering us, do we keep our data?
Yes, always. Your Sustain is in your name, and every record stays in it. You can stay on at the cohort rate of $125 a month, move to a standard plan, or download every record as CSV.
Do you take a card?
No. Billing is arranged directly with Sonate, and no card is taken on this site. Sustain records money; it does not move it.
What does setup include?
Bringing in your open awards, award letters, report templates, the reporting calendar, the budget lines, and your profile, so the first day starts from your own records. It is charged once, from $2,000 to $5,000, by how many records are open.
What does “custom” mean above 100 active awards?
Above 100 active awards, we set the price with you rather than publish one. Write to hello@sonate.io.
